To understand a dog’s needs, keep it occupied and exercised in a way that suits its nature, and train it properly, you need some knowledge and prior understanding. With our online theory course for first-time dog owners, we make it easier for you and your new four-legged family member to get off to a good start together. This course takes place via Zoom and can be attended from anywhere.
Under the new Zurich Dog Act, which came into force on 1 June 2025, all first-time dog owners must complete a theoretical dog training course. This also applies to people who have not owned a dog for more than 10 years. This theory course fulfils the requirements for the compulsory dog training courses in the Canton of Zurich.
