Michael Shikashio from the US is the founder of AggressiveDog.com and specialised on training with aggressive dogs. We are extremely happy to announce, that Michael will be having a 2 day seminar at fairtrain GmbH in Switzerland.

This event will be broken into two days which can be booked separately. We nevertheless recommend to book both days as they build upon each other.

This seminar is open to everybody who is working or in contact with aggressive dogs - veterinarians, dog sitters, dog shelter workers, dog trainers as well as dog owners. As the aggression level within dogs in the US is most of the time much higher from what we are used, this will give you a great insight on how it is possible to change these dog’s behaviour through positive reinforcement.

Day 1 - 15th of February 2025
Dog to dog aggression - behaviour change strategies in aggression cases

- Understanding and working with dog aggression
- Intra-household dog to dog aggression
- “No! That’s MY Owner!” - helping dogs that fight over their owner
- How to safely break up a dog fight

Day 2 - 16th of Febuary 2025
Dog to human aggression - behaviour change strategies in aggression cases

- Dog to human aggression cases. Behaviour change in action
- Avoiding the “bitey” end of the dog - defensive handling and leash skills
- Prognosis and realistic goal setting in aggression cases
- Resource guarding in dogs

The topics might be slightly adjusted during the course of the event.

This seminar will be held in english.

Michael Shikashio

Michael Shikashio, CDBC, is the founder of AggressiveDog.com and focuses on teaching other professionals from around the world on how to successfully work aggression cases. He is a five-term president of the International Association of Animal Behavior Consultants (IAABC) and was the Association of Professional Dog Trainers (APDT) Member of the Year in 2020.
