fairtrain course overview

With our courses we cover a wide range of your needs. Our group courses consist of 4 to maximum 6 teams, so that we can

focus our attention on each team individually.

In addition to group courses in a variety of areas, we offer efficient individual training and behavioural counselling for every problem that your dog brings with it or has developed over time.

Puppy training

Discover the world, learn new things and build trust. The puppy is torn out of a world familiar to him and comes to you, a world completely unknown to him and new. He has to learn an incredible amount and process an enormous number of impressions. It is important that the little four-legged friend is not overwhelmed and overtaxed by all the new things to learn. We show you how to build up trust in your puppy. You learn how to introduce your new friend to the new world in a healthy way and we also build up the first everyday signals. The practical training is supported by theory blocks to understand the behaviour and learning process of dogs in depth.

We keep the groups intentionally very small (2 - 4 teams) so that each team can learn at their own pace and we have time for you and your puppy. We also do individual training on request. The game units between the dogs are short, because the dogs forget themselves during the game and unfortunately it often comes to physical and mental overstrain. The learning effect then becomes negative, which we absolutely want to avoid.

We will accompany you during this time, give you advice and show you how to learn the basics for a healthy development with your little furry nose in a balance between action and rest.

We run courses on a wide variety of days and times. Please feel free to contact us via the registration form so that we can find the right course for you.

Young dog training

The puppies will soon develop to young teenagers. During this time we will continue to support you in mastering the now bigger challenge. During this phase you will need a lot of patience. Like a teenager, your little one will now become more independent, suddenly no longer hears as well as before and finds the opposite sex incredibly exciting.

We will help you with information to understand your dog correctly, to interpret the signals coming from him correctly and to introduce this young dog further into life by working calmly.

We run courses on a wide variety of days and times. Please feel free to contact us via the registration form so that we can find the right course for you.

Agility

Agility is all about completing an obstacle course without making mistakes. This consists of various elements such as hurdles, tunnels, slalom or seesaw. In the advanced course, the equipment is worked out individually and later connected to form a course.

The course is very diversified, so that man and dog can feel challenged in every lesson.
To participate in the course, the dog must be at least one year old.
It is also possible for children from the age of eight to join a kids-agility group.

So that both dog and person can benefit optimally, we conduct the lesson as a single 20-minute lesson.

NADAC

The goal in NADAC (also called Hoopers) is to guide the dog through a course at a distance using visual and audio signals. The human moves in a defined area and sends the dog over and through the obstacles.

No jumps are used in the NADAC; therefore, this course is also suitable for dogs that should not be subjected to too much stress due to a physical limitation.

So that both dog and person can benefit optimally, we conduct the lesson as a single 20-minute lesson.

We run courses on a wide variety of days and times. Please feel free to contact us via the registration form so that we can find the right course for you.

All-in-One

With a walk around the corner the dog is rarely sufficiently occupied. The dogs often lack the mental challenge and support they need.

This course is a kind of potpourri from our other existing courses and workshops as well as from other well-known disciplines. Be it elements from target training, lunging, "dog encounters made easy", nose work and much more - simply what the heart desires. Maybe there is also a deepening in recall training or other crisp everyday tools are refreshed or built up again or we rummage a little in the reward box. This course is certainly always full of surprises and is also very responsive to the wishes of the participants.

Mantrailing

Lunging

It is not entirely clear whether lunging for dogs was derived from equestrian sports or whether it originated from working with herding dogs. In any case, it is a very versatile and exciting activity for dogs and humans.

When lunging, the dog learns to walk around a circle. The human is inside the circle and uses distance control to get the dog to perform certain signals on the outside of the circle. As soon as the team understands what is involved, various elements from other sports are introduced (e.g. agility, tricks, retrieving, etc.).

Well-constructed lunging involves various aspects: Distance control, communication at a distance, physical and mental exercise, attention training, variety for humans and dogs, promoting team bonding and much more. It is a great activity for dogs that love to run and work on sight.

Lunging is also particularly suitable for young dogs in the adolescent phase who would like to get rid of their energy but are prevented from doing so by the lead.

This course takes place on Thursdays at 10am and starting 22.4. also Monday at 7.30pm.

Dummytraining

Dummy training has its origins in hunting and is becoming increasingly popular as a way of keeping dogs of all breeds busy. Hunting-like situations are simulated and dummies are used instead of real game.

Dummy work includes other exciting training elements in addition to retrieving. It is a varied and challenging activity in which the dog is allowed to use all its senses and is challenged both mentally and physically.

Dummy training also includes various elements of hunting behavior such as focusing, chasing, picking up and carrying back objects. These elements make perfect sense as an activity for dogs with hunting ambitions and offer an exciting alternative.

But you can also benefit from many elements of dummy work in everyday life: Footwork, recall and stopping at a distance are just a few examples.

All retrieving dogs are welcome, regardless of breed, origin or size.

If you are looking for a tailor-made concept which you can then easily implement in your personal everyday life, we will work together to develop a training plan tailored to your wishes.

There are more and more dog owners who decide for an individual coaching.

In principle, individual coaching makes sense in the following situations:

  • You wish an individual care from us
  • You have special concerns, which are lost in a group training
  • Your dog is overstrained in a group with other dogs and can relax better in individual care and learn more efficiently
  • You wish for a higher learning efficiency
  • You have a second hand dog that has very special needs
  • You already have an adult dog, would like to get a second dog and need help to bring it together
  • and much more besides

Behavioural counselling

There are more and more people and dogs in a confined space and living together presents more and more challenges. The time is getting more and more hectic and different factors lead to one or the other dog showing one or more behavioural problems. These can be anxiety behaviour, high levels of arousal, undesirable hunting behaviour, frustration, lack of impulse control or even aggressive behaviour - to name but a few.

The causes of the behaviour will be evaluated together with you in a conversation (anamnesis). After this conversation we will work out a training plan. This will then be worked out with you and your dog and will also be adapted again and again.

Changing a behavioural disorder generally requires time and patience, especially because we work out the cause and do not simply treat the surface. Of course we work non-violently and through positive reinforcement.

We can never guarantee that a behaviour can be completely changed. In any case, our goal is to show you and your dog ways to face difficult situations in a relaxed way. We are looking forward to an exciting cooperation with you and your furry nose.
